Class Overview

Students enter a safe gym environment where they can learn how to climb, get down, land, and even fall safely and efficiently as they gain confidence in their own strength and abilities.

Parkour helps students improve their balance, coordination, strength, and endurance. In addition to the physical attributes, practicing parkour develops the following mindset skills:

  • Tenacity

  • Perseverance

  • Creativity

  • Awareness (self, others & environment)

  • Focus on a Process

  • Power of practice

  • Growth Mindset (failures are opportunities to grow)

  • Self-esteem and self-efficacy (belief in your own ability to accomplish something)

Our Goals

  • Demonstrate and introduce fundamental parkour skills

  • Explain code of conduct so students can train together safely

  • Introduce 3 awarenesses; of Self, of Others, and of their Environment

  • Emphasize what Parkour is (the practice of moving through a space in the safest and most efficient way possible for the individual) and what it is NOT (comparing your own abilities and means of motion against other students)

  • Get students comfortable moving in the facility so they can focus on progressing
